PART-TIME & FULL-TIME
Lift Cancer Care Services is a South Australian owned and operated integrated support services centre, providing evidence based care for oncology patients in the areas of exercise medicine, physiotherapy, dietetics, speech and psychology. Our mission is to create a safe and supportive community for cancer patients in which they feel empowered to actively participate in therapies that will enhance the management of their cancer treatment and improve their quality of life.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Scope of practice is flexible depending on the experience and extra qualifications if applicable (ie lymphoedema physio, pelvic health physio)
The role includes provision of:
evidence based oncology exercise medicine
oncology related musculoskeletal Physiotherapy (eg rehab post surgery, pain, loss of strength, lymphatic cording)
screening for cancer treatment related lymphoedema using SOZO machine
treatment of cancer treatment related lymphoedema
+ CLINICAL
· Provide expert oncology exercise services to patients of Lift Cancer Care Services.
· Consult and coordinate with other healthcare providers at Lift in relation to the provision of clinical care of patients
· Drive a coordinated team approach to patient care.
· Attend and actively participate in multi-disciplinary case conferences
· Through excellent time management, adhere to the scheduled appointment times for Lift patients.
+ SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
Qualifications
· Recognised qualification as a Physiotherapist
· Full unrestricted registration with AHPRA
· Eligible for registration for a Medicare Provider number
Skills and Experience
· Interest / experience in the provision of exercise prescription
· Interest / experience in the provision of post-surgical musculoskeletal rehabilitation
· Demonstrated sound verbal and written communication skills with an ability to build rapport and empathise with patients.
· Demonstrated commitment to education, training and research.
· Knowledge of, and commitment to, evidence-based and patient-centered clinical practice.
· Ability to prioritise and manage workloads within established routines, methods and procedures.
· Ability to work within a multidisciplinary healthcare team to provide high-quality patient care.
· Capacity for creativity and innovation in service development, delivery and improvement.
