If you would like to undergo Exercise Treatment at Lift, the first step is to undergo an Initial Assessment.
The Initial Assessment is a comprehensive 2 hour assessment. You will see one of our Medical Practitioners first to assess you medically, followed by one of our Physiotherapists to assess you physically. The purpose of this assessment is to ensure you receive exercise at Lift that is safe, appropriate and individually tailored to your needs.
The clinical staff will also screen you for the other allied services offered through Lift:
• Dietetics
• Clinical Psychology
• Speech Pathology
• Physiotherapy
• Lymphoedema Screening
• Lymphoedema Treatment
• Women’s and Men’s Pelvic Floor Physiotherapy
If it is determined that you need any of the above services, they will be discussed with you during your assessment. You can then decide which clinical services you would like to make appointments for. There is no obligation for you to book any of these services.

No. If you don’t have a referral at the time of booking your Initial Assessment, we will reach out to your treating team for more information. This will only be done with your consent.

This will be confirmed with you on completion of your Initial Assessment.
