It all started when...

Lauren Whiting is one of the Founders and CEO of Lift Cancer Care Services. Lauren is also an Oncology Physiotherapists with a special interest in the use of Exercise as an anti-cancer treatment.

After completing a Bachelor of Physiotherapy in 2004, Lauren worked across the public and private sector as a Physiotherapist and developed a broad base of experience as a clinician.

In 2016 Lauren was awarded a full scholarship to study her Masters of Applied Innovation and Entrepreneurship at Adelaide University. During her study, Lauren started developing the concept for a new business after identifying a gap in service delivery for cancer patients through her physiotherapy work.

Lift was opened in January 2018 with Lauren working as the Senior Oncology Physiotherapist in the early years, as the business was launched and started to grow.

While Lauren loves clinical work, her role as CEO now has her focused on the future growth of Lift.

Some of the recent achievements Lauren has been part of include:

• 2022 South Australian 40 under 40 emerging leaders in business

• South Australian finalist in the 2022 Telstra Best in Business Award for Championing Health

Lauren’s vision is to embed the Lift model of care across the country and contribute to providing the best outcomes for people diagnosed with cancer.
