Jessica Hondow - Clinical Psychology Team Leader
Jess is a Clinical Psychologist who has more than 15 years experience. She has spent the last 10 years working in health, rehabilitation and cancer in both public and private settings. She cares deeply about utilising her experience to support the unique needs of oncology patients.
She has a warm, empathic and genuine approach. She believes that people with a cancer diagnosis are often seeking help at a time in their lives when they are most vulnerable, and our support at this time should be delivered with a little extra ‘heart’.

She believes a practical, flexible and caring approach to treatment intervention is important and patients goals and priorities are central in all treatment decision making. She aims to help patients connect with their strength as they move through their difficulties. She utilizes a range of models for psychological intervention, depending on the needs of the patient. These include Acceptance Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy and Self – Compassion approaches
In addition to her clinical work Jess is an experienced work-place facilitator and has both developed and delivered a range of content to external staff and colleagues in support of workplace wellbeing. An important part of her role as Clinical Psychology Team Leader is championing an approach to employee wellbeing which is embedded in everything we do at Lift.
